Company Background / History

ECI - European Chemicals Industries Ltd. was founded in 1980 in Castleblayney, Ireland. The product range included from the beginning the whole range of silicone sealants. In the mid-eighties a Polyurethane edge sealant for insulated glass was produced for the first time. Today this sealant is well known as EMCEPREN. In 1996 the product range was further enhanced with a Polysulphide edge sealant. A one-component silicone for insulated glass was added in 1997. The product range is completed with a butyl.

ECI-European Chemicals Industries Ltd. is active in Europe, Russia, Middle East and Latin America and EMCEPREN products are approved by major groups.

EMCEPREN products meet international specifications such as EN 1279.. ECI-European Chemical Industries Ltd. has an internationally recognised test laboratory, which underlines the quality of testing available for insulated glass units.

To the group belongs the engineering company HDT GmbH, which has specialised in the construction of extrusion machines for the insulated glass industry.
